Giggles from Anthony
Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, 12:25 p.m.

:) Just got this e-mail from Anthony and it made me giggle. I've never seen him write like that, as a story-teller. It was just too funny not to share. (Even though I feel bad that he had such a rough morning.)

"I got to class ˝ hour late, I forgot that they moved the location of class to a different building. So, I thought I could find it, but had to go back to my office get a map and check the building number. Turns out I was right next to it when I was looking. Also, my short cut turned out to be a regular cut with long red lights. So, I am not really having a good day. I still feel tired even though I went to bed on time last night.

Plus I threw my breakfast power bar in the fridge with my lunch. In case you did not know power bars when they are cold become like hard tack, not very tasty. So without thinking I threw my bar in the microwave for 10 seconds - foil wrapper and all. It was a very cool trick, the air between the bar and the wrapper ionized, which actually cooked the bar very quickly, with a loud crackle for about 3 seconds. Then the burning smell started to waft up out of the microwave mocking my imprudence. I pulled it out of the microwave and quickly noticed that it was actually warm now, not hot, and the foil was fused to the bar in a crack crystalline pattern. Of course, somebody I never met before had to walk in right then wanting to get some coffee and witnessing the deformed freaky looking fused bar. I played it off and took all of the coffee that my cup could take. Fortunately, it was all that was available and my hapless overseer left the room with my words chasing him, “Looks like I will have to make a fresh pot!” Without thinking I grabbed a paper towel and covered my deformed creation, hiding my shame in case somebody else might walk in. It actually tasted okay, but it was a little difficult peeling off all of the flakes of wrapper from my now warm power bar."

Sorry you had such a bad morning, baby, but... you sure made me giggle. :)
