Psycho Ex-Boss #2 Whoo!!! :) Know what I just did? I stood up for myself!!! Aren't you proud of me??? Psycho Ex-Boss #2 demanded, for the second time within the last week, stats right now because she has a meeting to go to. Well, don't you think you should've prepared for your meeting a little bit earlier than one hour before said meeting? Especially if you were going to want stats, graphs, etc. I mean, really... anyway, I dropped everything else and scrambled last time she did that, which was Wednesday, I think. This morning she sends me an e-mail basically saying that 1) she thinks I'm incompetent because of blah, blah, blah, and 2) she wants stats on such and such for a meeting she has today. I e-mailed her back telling her why I was not incompetent and that if she wanted data she needed to give me more advance notice than "I need it for a meeting today". (Not to mention the fact that I can see her calendar and she doesn't have any freaking appointments for today!!!) Ergh. Oh, joy... see, while I was gloating about standing up for myself? She just e-mailed me back, essentially telling me, don't respond to this e-mail unless you want to bring Awesome Boss into it. And then proceeds to tell me that... well, short version, I'm wrong, I obviously am incompetent because blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Oh, and she didn't answer the questions I asked, either. Hrmph! Well, I was excited and feeling proud of myself when I started this post, and now I'm just grumpy and irritable. I need to figure out a way to respond (I think the fact that she didn't answer my questions should work) without trying to bring in Awesome Boss. See, the thing is, Awesome Boss reports directly to the CEO. So... you know, he's way up there on the food chain. I hate to bring him in on anything I don't have to. Not to mention the fact that a) it makes me look like I am incompetent in that I can't handle minor issues by myself, and b) this is a really petty issue that shouldn't even be an issue if Psycho Ex-Boss #2 would just cool it and be polite. Ergh. Ok, I'm done now. Thanks for listening. |
