Warning! Warning! Political rant dead ahead. If you don't want to hear (yet more) about California politics, leave now. This is your last warning.
Ugh! He was elected! I seriously can't believe he was elected. What genuinely frightens me is the fact that I'm relatively sure the only reason Arnie got elected is that everyone knows who he is! We had a record turn-out at the polls. And do you know why? Because we had a man running for governor who has starred in consecutively more and more violent movies! At least, that's my take on it. The man's a hypocrite! Ok, so that's true of most politicians, but... seriously, going to kids schools to tell them "violence is bad" *insert small frown and condescending head shake* when pretty much every freaking movie you've ever been is was exceedingly violent is hypocritical! If you honestly thought violence was bad, you wouldn't have been in those movies in the first place! Ugh!
Unfortunately, I didn't get to watch much of the debates, but the pieces that I did see infuriated me! He didn't answer the questions asked, he turned it quickly into a discussion of "why I'm such a great guy because I help kids and I endorse education", he interrupted (ok, so they all did that), and he took a non-controversial stance on every subject brought up. "I would encourage small business owners." Well, of course you're going to "encourage" small business owners, you over-grown monkey! (Ok, sorry, that was unnecessary. Name calling is not appropriate.) What else would you do? Try to discourage them? Give me a real opinion! Even if it's contrary to my own, I'd respect you more because you had one!!!! Ergh!! Three years!
Ok, I think I'm done ranting for the moment. Don't bother with hate mail. I like to debate and would be happy to do so with anyone who disagrees, but I'm not in the mood to deal with getting lambasted since I'm still waiting to hear anything from my letter. Thanks.
